Since the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa has welcomed its ninth international cruise ship, further affirming the locality's position on the international cruise tourism map.

On February 1st, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association , announced that at noon that day, the international cruise ship Costa Serena (Italian nationality) with 2,853 European tourists and 940 crew members had docked in Nha Trang Bay.

The ship departed from Hong Kong port, arrived at Ana Marina International Cruise Terminal, and anchored from noon until 9 PM the same day. Approximately 2,000 to 2,500 tourists are expected to disembark to explore and experience tourism products in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

According to Thang, welcoming the Costa Serena follows the success of previous international cruise ships that docked at Ana Marina on December 7, 2025 and January 4, 2026.

With the attention and support of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, the marina infrastructure is becoming increasingly modern and well-equipped; the staff and guides are well-trained and provide attentive and professional service.

In addition, the rich system of historical and cultural destinations, unique natural landscapes, and the image of gentle and friendly people have left many positive impressions on international tourists.

After disembarking, passengers on the Costa Serena cruise ship can enjoy many attractive sightseeing programs such as: Long Son Pagoda, Ponagar Tower, Stone Church, I-Resort mud bath, Dam Market, Skylight Bar; April 2nd Square area, Tram Huong Tower, Nha Trang Beach Park .

The ship is expected to depart Nha Trang at 9 PM on the same day, continuing its journey to Phu My port (Ho Chi Minh City).

According to Khanh Hoa's tourism industry , 2025 marks a strong recovery of cruise tourism after a period of disruption. The province has welcomed many large international cruise ships, mainly from Europe, America, and Asia, with tens of thousands of passengers.

The official opening of Ana Marina International Yacht Harbor to welcome international cruise ships has opened up new avenues, contributing to the diversification of tourism products, extending the length of stay, and increasing tourist spending.

The Khanh Hòa tourism industry has determined that in the coming period, it will continue to strengthen the promotion and advertising of cruise tourism, improve port infrastructure, enhance service quality, and develop unique tours and routes, aiming to make Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa a familiar destination on the shipping routes of major international cruise lines.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from the beginning of 2026 to the present, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 9 international cruise ships with tens of thousands of tourists disembarking for sightseeing. Based on the schedules registered by cruise lines, Khanh Hoa is expected to welcome an additional 37 ships this year.

In 2025, Khanh Hoa's tourism sector achieved many positive results. The province welcomed 16.4 million visitors, including 5.5 million international tourists; there were 1,441 accommodation establishments with more than 70,500 rooms, and the quality of service was constantly improving. Total revenue from tourism reached 66,700 billion VND.
